Claude Code with Claude Sonnet 5
Full Claude Code guide01 Try it in this terminal (bash / zsh)
# this terminal only export ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL="https://api.oneaiapikey.com" export ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN="sk-your-key-here" export ANTHROPIC_MODEL="claude-sonnet-5"No /v1 on the base URL: Claude Code appends /v1/messages itself. Then run claude from the same terminal.
02 ~/.claude/settings.json (permanent)
{ "env": { "ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL": "https://api.oneaiapikey.com", "ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN": "sk-your-key-here", "ANTHROPIC_MODEL": "claude-sonnet-5", "ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_OPUS_MODEL": "claude-opus-5-5", "ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_SONNET_MODEL": "claude-sonnet-5", "ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_HAIKU_MODEL": "claude-haiku-4-5" } }Merge the env keys into an existing file. Use the user-level file, never a project file that is committed to git.
03 Verify
claude # then type /status: the base URL line should show https://api.oneaiapikey.com
Method
How it works
The generator holds one template per tool, written from that tool’s own documentation and the setup guides on this site. Your three choices fill it in:
- Tool decides the protocol and where settings live. Claude Code speaks the Anthropic Messages API, so its base URL is https://api.oneaiapikey.com with no
/v1. Codex CLI uses the OpenAI Responses API. The other tools use OpenAI chat completions at https://api.oneaiapikey.com/v1. - Model is limited to models that tool can reach through the gateway: Claude models for Claude Code, GPT models for Codex CLI, every model for the rest.
- Shell changes how environment variables are set:
exportfor bash and zsh,set -gxorset -Uxfor fish,$env:andsetxfor PowerShell.
Nothing here talks to the network. Your key never goes into this page: the output uses the placeholder sk-your-key-here, which you replace after copying. Each setup ends with a check you can run, and the request appears in your usage log.
Tools change their settings screens between releases. If a field has moved, the full guide for that tool walks through it step by step, and the Agent Kits page lists what each tool supports.
